Updated Fireplace with New Linear Burner and New Custom Chimney Flue System

The Barnes Museum

We were contacted by the architect and designer for the renovation of the Barnes Museum to consult and troubleshoot a poorly operating gas fireplace. The custom linear burner that was installed in the outdoor fireplace when operating caused damage to the ornate custom firebox tiles because of improper drafting, sooting and overheating the tiles. Working closely with the architect and designer once the dysfunctions of the fireplace was diagnosed, we developed a solution which supported the design yet provided a safe and functional fireplace. By re-designing the firebox and burner system, the projects success resulted in equal flame distribution and a properly exhausting one-of-a-kind fireplace.
